Deckbase supports Anki .apkg, CSV, Excel (.xlsx), TSV, and plain text. Images and audio are preserved when imported from .apkg files.
Will my Anki scheduling data transfer to Deckbase?
Anki interval and ease data do not transfer because Deckbase uses FSRS natively. Your card content, media, and tags are preserved. FSRS will rebuild optimal intervals within two weeks of regular review.
Is Anki import free on Deckbase?
Yes. Importing existing decks is free on all plans; images and audio count toward your plan's storage. AI card generation from new material uses credits, and every account starts with free credits. See Pricing for details.
Does Deckbase download decks from AnkiWeb for me?
No. The search on this page opens AnkiWeb in a new tab and you download the deck yourself. AnkiWeb doesn't allow third-party apps to access it, so the importer only works with files you drop in.
Can I see my deck before signing up?
Yes. Drop the .apkg on this page and the first cards appear right away, with their images and audio. The file is read in your browser and nothing is uploaded until you create a free account.
Can I share an imported AnkiWeb deck?
Imported decks stay private to your account. Decks shared on AnkiWeb are licensed for personal study only, so please don't republish them unless you made the deck or the author allows it.
